Grand Mosque
Bur Dubai’s one of the important attractions, the ‘Grand Mosque’ was only rebuilt in 1998 and takes pride in the city’s tallest minaret, at 70m. It is located on the Bur Dubai side of the creek, near the Ruler’s Court, the Grand Mosque consists of 9 large domes and 45 smaller ones. The huge religious structure can accommodate up to 1,200 worshippers.

Sheikh Saeed Al-Maktoum’s House
To see some of the best traditional architecture, visitors must pay a visit to ‘Sheikh Saeed Al-Maktoum’s House’, which is one of the oldest houses in the city. The building has been built from sandstone, in the year 1896, offering extensive views out towards the sea. At one time, the ruler of Dubai used this house to monitor trade in and out of the country. The house was reopened as a museum for public viewing in 1986, containing an exhibition revealing Dubai’s development from the 1940s to the late 1960s.

Dubai Museum
Get a peek of city’s history at the Dubai Museum. The building Al-Fahidi Fort houses the museum and is an attraction in itself. The historic fort, dating back to the year 1799, and was converted into a museum, in 1970. The museums displays range from old weapons and pearl-diving outfits to a remarkable range of military artifacts. Among the most notable of the exhibits recovered are from the 3000 to 4000-year-old graves at Al-Ghusais.
